Press representatives visit the Cuxhaven booth during a themed press tour
Husum/Cuxhaven, 16 September 2015 – Members of the Cuxhaven Port Association (HWG) are currently representing the offshore location as exhibitors at HUSUM Wind 2015. The Economic Development Agency of Cuxhaven, Cuxport GmbH, the Cuxhaven Port Development GmbH, the Sea Airport Cuxhaven/Nordholz and Otto Wulf GmbH & Co. KG share a joined booth, D24, which can be found in hall 1. Here, visitors can learn more about the special range of services, the infrastructure and industrial sites as well as Cuxhaven’s role as an offshore base port.
Hans-Peter Zint, Chairman of the HWG Cuxhaven: “The HUSUM Wind fair is an important date in Cuxhaven’s annual event calendar. For years, the Port of Cuxhaven has been specialising on a comprehensive service portfolio for the offshore wind industry. At this well established fair, located in direct vicinity to the coast and the offshore wind parks, our members will showcase their offshore expertise and once again promote the advantages of the offshore base port Cuxhaven in general. We surely look forward to many interesting talks and new contacts.”
During a press tour focusing on the logistics and feeder industry for offshore wind parks, press representatives visited the joint Cuxhaven booth, where they were briefed about the available logistics and handling services for the offshore wind industry.
This year’s HUSUM Wind focuses on the core market Germany and neighbouring countries. 20,000 expected visitors will be able to visit the booths of 600 exhibitors from 25 countries and experience the newest developments and innovations in the fair ground, which measures 25,000 square metres.
The settlement of the new Siemens production plant has once again endorsed the quality of the Port of Cuxhaven. In order to further boost the capacities for the handling of offshore wind components, the Offshore Terminal II in Cuxhaven will be completed by the start of the Siemens production in 2017. In addition, the offshore wind industry will also profit from the construction of berth no. 4, which will expand by one third the capacity of the multi-purpose sea terminal at the Europakai.
