New Management for the Cuxhaven Fish Industry Association

Michael Ditzer; Copyright Fischwirtschaftliche Vereinigung Michael Ditzer, Managing Director of Cux Fisch Ditzer GmbH, is the new President of the Cuxhaven Fish Industry Association. In this way, the Cuxhavener fishmonger is now responsible for supervising the lobbying and public relations efforts of the fish and food products industry as well as for regional and interregional political networking. In addition, the Fish Industry Association regularly organizes the joint stand at the annual Bremen fish trade fair "Fish international". Michael Ditzer is taking over the position from Bodo von Holten, managing director of the fishmeal producer Bioceval.

The local industry association represents 29 companies, including fish retailers, freight forwarders and producers of canned goods. The new Vice-President is Melanie Nermerich-Widowitsch, managing director of Nermerich Feinkost GmbH, which intends to promote the resumption of the Fishermen's Festival starting in 2020.

Besides Bremerhaven, Cuxhaven is the most important fishery port in Germany. Providing approximately 3,000 jobs, the fishing industry is one of the most important regional employers.
